WARRANTY

ZAP Self Drilling Screws

Kare Industrial Suppliers (Pty) Ltd warrants their ZAP Self Drilling Screws with Z3; Z4 and Z5 head markings, against the loss of structural integrity due to the effects of corrosion or metallurgical defects, provided that:

  1. The screws are used with compatible roofing and substrate material.
  2. The ZAP screws (Z3; Z4; Z5 head marked) are installed correctly.
  3. The ZAP screws are installed in an environment recommended by Kare Industrial Suppliers (Pty) Ltd as suitable for their ZAP Roofing Screws.

Mild to moderate industrial and marine environments. Marine environments ranging from 400m to 1000m from breaking surf (may vary with winds & geography). Light industrial environments and areas adjacent to severe industrial zones.

ISO Category 4
Severe industrial and marine environments. Includes highly polluted urban/industrial areas, marine environments without salt spray, and subtropical/tropical zones with medium pollution.
Average corrosion rate: 1.4 – 2.7 micron per year.

Offshore areas and up to 100m from breaking surf. Industrial areas with heavy fallout, stack emissions, sulphur and acid presence, and extremely high corrosion rates.

KARE recommends that areas not exposed to rain should be washed down regularly — such as soffits, wall cladding under eaves, garage doors, and the underside of gutters.

Washing should occur at least every six months, and more frequently in coastal or heavy industrial areas.


Conditions

  1. Any claim must be made in writing and is conditional on inspection by KARE before any action is taken. The KARE inspector’s decision is final regarding environmental classification.
  2. To the extent permitted by law, KARE is not liable for any loss or damage other than the replacement of defective screws — including direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
  3. This Warranty covers the structural performance of the screws from the installation date, not the aesthetic performance of coatings.
  4. This Warranty is not transferable from the original owner.
